Excuse my lack of makeup. We just got home from the beach. I got so many compliments on this awesome orange hat that I felt the need to share it with everyone!I wish that I was talented enough to say that I created my hat from scratch. But I did not. I used a McCalls pattern that I purchased during their $.99 sale. I didn't follow the patterns instructions exactly, I kind of altered the shape as I went along. The pattern number is M5995.
I have made so many of these hats that it now only takes me 30 minutes or less to make one.

Thanks Michella for your nice comment about my centerpiece from last week. We have a local gift shop that carries cool stuff like the rock candles. They have flowers and shell candles as well. Such fun :)

Oh I love newsboy hats. I have a favorite knit one for winter and have been wanting one for fall... and summer, and of course spring! I never though to make my own *duh*. Thanks for the pattern information!
